Investigation – Demetri’s Death

Demetri was our first clue that not everyone actually saw something during their 137 second blackout. Demetri’s first inclination was to assume that if he didn’t see a flash forward, then he must be dead in six months. Others have tried to convince him that there are other options, but this week in “White to Play” Demetri met an officer who also saw nothing, and a little while later she died right in front of him. He finally took it upon himself to post his story on the Mosaic website and within a few minutes he was contacted by a woman who spoke to him on the phone with the Hong Kong skyline behind her. She claimed that in her flash forward she had seen an intelligence report with his name on it, and that it had stated that he was murdered on March 15, 2010. Seems like the end for Demetri…or maybe not.

I’m definitely in the camp of people who don’t think Demetri will be dead.  Several theories are floating around, including the most obvious one which is that the government somehow fakes his death in order to flush out the bad guys.  Others have suggested that Demetri didn’t see anything during his blackout because he wasn’t blacked out and that he may be a part of the conspiracy.  This theory is based mostly on the fact that when Mark awoke Demetri was nowhere to be found.  This does seem odd but him being part of the conspiracy seems mighty thin.
